STEAM
Village Elementary is focused on S.T.E.A.M - Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. Village incorporates this concept to give their students as many different opportunities in these areas to provide the best possible learning experience. Although S.T.E.A.M has many science skills, art is made sure to be embraced as well. Mrs. Lord says art is another way for the kids to express themselves and you are even able to trace it back to all the other subjects.
The notion of S.T.E.A.M is visible through activities and programs Village offers their students during and after school. Science can be seen in the science fair, in which grades TK-6th are able to participate in, whether as individuals, groups, or even as a class. Technology and Engineering are applied in robotics teams and Art in the an annual art fair. These are just a few examples of the ways Village has integrated classes to make sure students receive an all-around experience that integrates the S.T.E.A.M focus. 
In addition to creating multiple opportunities throughout their learning environment, Village has a caring, welcoming staff that strives to work with individual students in order to ensure their needs are being met.
